Whatever Happened to Human Relationships in Videogames?

Well I game a bit here and there when I can. And as far as I have seen lately and played is sims 2, its not that story in-depth save for the life stories I suppose. But yea, they have the typical human families, and working to get promotions and such things as that. But you are right there are alot of medieval games out now. I guess it must be the year of the mythical battles or something. I have played cake mania and such games as that, where I did feel for the character of losing a business or something to that effect. But not sure about too many other games though. I know a friend helped me to download a winx game before, its about 6 teen fairies that use their powers to stop witches and such. So not too human there but it was ok though and got back to simpler mythical creatures.
