Why do Native Americans In the U.S attempt to distance themselves from Native Americans in Mexico?

You are correct & it's is ridiculous. All peoples Native to North America are the same race. it doesn't matter if they are from Guatemala,Canada,Mexico, or anywhere in the USA. they are all the same. Many of Friends are pure blooded Indigenous Mexicans. and they look very similar to Native american. I think is ridiculous,they are separating themselves & in effect dividing there race.
