Brooklyn Heights- Gristedes Fire..Why are some people being so cruel?

I don't live in New York and I know not all New Yorkers act like this but in all the Brooklyn Heights local papers the people trashed the place with slander. It had already burned down and one of the deli workers with two infants at home risked his life to put it out. The people who had serviced you for all those years you called rude and some said a rat chewed through the wires etc. Now the workers are jobless or will be after the Brooklyn Heights local papers comments. Why are those posters comments so evil. I live in Florida..and despite it's faults if a neighborhood grocer burned down with people inside we wouldn't be saying two days later.."Gee, I wonder if they will replace it with a Pickle and Peas." Where is the love?
