Whenever I ollie the board flies away from me?

whenever i try too ollie, the board flies away from me on the swipe. it either flies forward, or flips around to the side of me. When this doesn't happen, the board doesnt leave the ground at all, i land with most/all of my foot off the board, or i fall backward immediately afterward.
