Betta and other fishes question?

i have a betta and i would like to get a bunch of small fish like neon tetra s to form schools if i do this will i have to worry about my betta attacking it, and also what are some good fishes to live with bettas, and P.S. i have a ten gallon tank w/ filter, gravel, and lots of fake plants
